Trees are assets to our community when properly planted and maintained. They help improve the visual appeal of our neighborhoods, increase property values, reduce home cooling costs, remove air pollutants and provide wildlife habitat, among many other benefits.
Thank you to all those who help make our participation in this program possible!

When Mt Lebanon 4th graders were asked why we should plant trees:
“For Beauty!”
“I like to play on them and climb them.”
“A place for bees and butterflies to be.”
“I like to draw them, because they turn pretty colors in the Fall and they look good in photo shoots.”
And a budding scientist replied, “Because the trees convert CO2 into Oxygen for us to breathe.”
Lots of good reasons to plant trees!
